Inflammatory Bowel Disease

The term Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) describes a set of chronic gastrointestinal conditions, including Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC). Patients with IBD frequently suffer from iron deficiency anemia (IDA) as a result of chronic blood loss and impaired iron absorption.
